Character Creation

Characters, before creation must roll a d100 on a few tables to determine if there is anything special about them. This is generally done after choosing the character race. If the race is human or half-elf, then the player will need to roll on the special table to determine if the character is mundane or has dragon blood or another special characteristic. More on those races are in Chapter 2.

Next would be the ability score rolls. This is done rolling four six-sided dice and dropping the lowest dice. Roll this seven times again dropping the lowest dice, then placing them where you wish. At the DM’s discretion, other methods are used based on the desired outcome and desired power of the characters. The “point buy” system, although to some is a fair method giving every player character the same number of ability points, take away from the flavor of the game, where not all characters are born equal. These are things the players should enjoy over-coming and see this as a challenge. But there are those who do not want a challenge and only be able to build as they choose. This is of course up to the one who is running the game (DM).
