Dragons
Dragons on Altris come in a wide variety, some are extremely rare and are seldom seen. Not all dragons on this world however were created equal, some, even though appear to be the same in another land, can be either far more powerful or extremely weak.
On Altris dragons are broken up into four types; metals, chromatic, environmental and other. Some scholars on the world are attempting to group the gem type dragons with the metals calling them “mineral dragons”, this so far has not caught on, and has been met with heavy resistance.

Metallic dragons are by far the strongest, followed by the chromatic dragons. Gem dragons are among the weakest,
followed by the environmental dragons. Dragons on Altris tend to use more magic and often prefer to fight in
humanoid form rather than their full draconic shape.
