Information

This undead type was first encountered in the crypts beneath a Gyu-Poi temple. They appear as a normal skeleton warrior or knight and a normal animated undead, however they are not as they appear. These undead are created using long dead holy knights or paladins, the very soul of the holy warrior is used to power them. Because of this, holy weapons will not be hindered by armor on a successful hit. However, once the soul is crushed the skeleton changes as a powerful contingency spell fires and alters the bones covering them in a magical steel. At this point the armor takes full effect and the steel on the bones acts to absorb the weapon blows. Once the metal has been completely chipped away, a second contingency spell fires igniting the skeleton in flames of evil magic. At this point the holy armor is repelled and falls off the skeleton. Anyone near the skeleton suffers burns from the immense heat that is emitted

Combat observations

Blunt Holy weapons seem to be the best in the first stage, although any holy weapon will work, weapons such as swords, axes, and spears appear to have less effect. In the second stage, holy weapons are less effective although still preferred. However, in this stage, blunt weapons appear to have a lesser effect that swords or axes. Spears, unless holy have almost no effect. In the final stage, blunt weapons again become the best, holy is still the best effect.

Fire based spells do not seem to harm them as much in the 2nd to stages, in the last only holy fire-based spells will harm. Normal fire magic seems to heal them not damage them. Other magic has yet to be attempted.

Turning seems to work as normal and holy water is extremely effective if the 3rd stage but, not as effective in the first.
