
A marine is a specialize figther that serves onboard surface ships, air ships and spelljammers. They are trained to fight in the close quarters of a ships deck, requiring balance and the ability to navigate through obsticals on deck. A marine is also trained in damage control able to assist in repairing and patching up ships after or even during combat.
The nature of being on a ship, the marine elects to use lighter armor and shields than other fighters as it will be easier to swim, in the event he/she falls over the side. Airship marines will also tend to invest in some sort of feather fall magic to slow the decent in the event of falling or being pushed off the ship. Spelljammer marines will invest in magic that will alow them to survive in space while waiting to be recused.
The marine class has the three types of varients. Surface, air and space. Each have slightly differnt skills.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A marine is proficient with all simple, marshal and heavy weapons. A marine is proficient with light and medium armor, and shields (excluding tower shield)
All Marines: Shipwright. Surface: Skill focus (Swim), Skill foucs(Survival). Air: Skill Focus (Balance), Acrobat. Space: Zero Gravity Combat, Slow Resparation.
A marine gains 2 feats at first level, one must be a weapon focus. And one feat every even level. (ie 2,4,6,8) which must be taken from the fighter class or spelljamming feats.
