Thisu is the daughter of Ransi and the sister of Iom. Ransi, being of true neutrality allows his childern to interpret what death means to them and to act accordingly. Thisu believes the body should be cared for in death in the same manner it was in life. Her brother Iom however, believes the body left behind is simply a husk to be used by anyone and for anything. This difference in perspectives has sent these gods and their clergy to war on many occasions. The bickering will normally continue until Ransi grows tired of it, or the battle is sending to many new souls to him before their time.
Thisu resides in Solania. Her domain is accessed through a monastery at the top of a mountain peak. It is an endless silvery fog covered valley surrounded by high gold topped mountain peaks. Servants care for effigies of the departed faithful maintaining them in a state of perfect preservation. If a corps of on of the followers is desiccated, the effigy displays the same desecration, including standing and wandering as an undead. The desecrated effigies attempt to walk out of the realm and into the realm of her brother Iom where they are added to his army. The only way the creature can be stopped is to be put back to rest on the prime material plane. When this happens, Thisu commands her clergy to find and put the dead back to rest. This normally creates the conflicts between the two clergy. If to many of Thisu subjects begin to wander, then she will lead her servants into Iom’s domain and attack him demanding the release of her subjects.
Outside of her brother, Thisu despises beings who refuse to leave their bodies after death, this includes but is not limited to liches, vampires, ghosts, and other vengeful spirits. Thisu believes that once the body passes so should the soul and any souls that remain behind, for whatever reason, is sacrilege.
The clergy wear silver robes with gold cuffs and collars, their heads are typically shaved and covered with a skullcap. The caps are silver with a gold top. Clergy ranking is noted in their holy symbol, which is a one-inch diameter silver disc with a sleeping face engraved on it. Each level of authority of the cleric a ring is added around the disc, to a maximum of 7 rings. The first is silver, the second is gold, the third is pearl, the fourth is electrum, the fifth is platinum, the sixed is speckled opal and the last is a glass ring with a permeant light spell cast on it.
pecialty clerics have access to the Burial Domain which grants them powers over undead prevention and the ability to preserve and restore a dead body. Clerics of Thisu cannot cast raise dead, reincarnate or resurrection.
