Po is the traveling god. No one is certain where he came from or how he came to be, he just seemed to have wandered into the realm. Though he does have respect for those that plant roots, he is too restless and must travel, see and experience new places, people and things and is rarely in the same location for more than a few days.

Clergy of Po also travel constantly between temples. A temple may never have the same priests from year to year as they swap out with other temples. Clerics of Po can often be found with caravans, travelling alone or with small groups. The tend to wander off a lot when they see something that interests them, so it is no surprise when a caravan arrives and missing the cleric.

Temples of Po are more merchant halls and Inns. For a reasonable donation travelers can procure lodgings, food, drink and supplies all in a single place. The temples offer a variety of services which makes them a very popular location for adventurers and traveling merchants. Each temple however offers different services based on the geographical location and the quality and quantity of craftsmen the temple employs. Some of the most basic services include a library, stables, mending shop (repair armor, weapons, items), basic travelers’ shop (rations, basic camping equipment) and lodging services.

Most temples will also offer magical equipment for purchase (costly). Many that own these items swear they could not travel without them anymore. Clerics will also offer the Blessing of Po, a supernatural enchantment that will last 6 full hours and can not be dispelled. The blessed traveler receives a 5% increase in walking speed, increased stamina allowing him/her to walk 5 straight hours without the need for rest. The blessing also suppresses hunger and thirst, so the traveler does not require to stop. Additionally, Po’s Blessing grants a +1 supernatural bonus to Armor class.

Clerics of Po receive several special benefits, especially when traveling. Movement rate is increased, stamina is increased, and the cleric has a sense of direction, always knowing which direction their destination is at.

Po’s Traveling aura

Po grants his clerics a magical aura that surrounds the cleric while he/she is traveling. The aura extends 10 feet from the cleric plus an additional foot for each level to a maximum of 30 feet. All persons and creatures inside the area that are friendly to the cleric receive the benefits.

Holy Days

Yalla 16th - Voyager’s Commencement Tracking of Shaen’s progress this is the start of the travel calendar. A traveler will set off for a 10-moon journey to explore the unknown and revisit the known to see if there are any changes. Family and friends will count the moons until he returns on Ara 27th.

Nuva 15th – Rilao’s Revelation On this day devoted to Rilao, travelers engage in quiet, reflective meditation at night. They write down sudden insights or dreams on parchment, burn them as an offering, and then share the “revelations” in small, intimate gatherings—believing that unexpected turns on the road bring hidden wisdom.

Feya 15th Spring’s Pilgrimage. Coinciding with the onset of spring, groups set out on a symbolic journey. They embark on a day-long pilgrimage, planting seeds along the route as emblems of new beginnings and stop at natural shrines to offer thanks for the renewal of life.

Latis 15th - Wanderer’s Wayfarer. Mid-month in Latis, this day is dedicated to mindful wandering. Devotees pause their journeys to rest in a tranquil outdoor setting, enjoying communal feasts with simple, portable foods. They also engage in crafting small talismans from natural materials, meant to remind them that every step is part of the journey.

Thea 15th - Journeyman’s Jubilee. In the midst of summer, communities come together for a lively festival. Pilgrims share tales of road adventures, exchange travel journals, and partake in a grand feast with local delicacies. A playful “map-making contest” might be held, where participants sketch the quirkiest routes or imaginary lands.

Ara 27th - Return of the Wayfarer. On this day the traveler that set out on Yall 16th is expected to return. On return to the origin point, clerics, friends and family greet them in a party style. Late at night the traveler recounts a tale about the travels.

Nea 28th - Odyssey of the Infinite. At sunrise it is a day of morning for those that embark on travels and did not return. In the evening there is a grand, reflective festival. The late day features a parade of sorts, where travelers display artifacts from their journeys, communal storytelling sessions recount epic quests, and a symbolic “passing of the torch” ceremony marks the closing of one cycle and the hopeful beginning of another. The celebration is both a farewell to the past and a pledge to continue seeking new horizons.
