Loveen is the repressed daughter of Lauritis the God of life. When she was young, Lauritis noticed his daughter had little regard for the life around her. He on many occasions attempted to guide her, get her to see and care what was around her, but this was to no avail. He finally decided, to protect living things from her blindness he would lock her away from the world of the living. He sent her to live with Ransi in the realm of the dead with hopes that by being around the dead, she would come to respect the living. His plan failed. She seemed to relish the suffering she saw and even begged Ransi to allow her to inflict the punishments on the souls. When Loveen came of age, Lauritis and Ransi both agreed that Loveen had no place in their realms and sent her off to form her own in the nine hells.

Clerics of Loveen spread the wisdom Loveen learned while she was repressed in the land of the dead; “You cannot respect life unless, you suffer for it”. The faith of Loveen openly worships in cities with both temples and shrines across cities large and small. Most people who go to the shrines or temples beg Loveen to end their suffering, for which the clerics will respond with demanding a greater suffering so the person will respect the little suffering they are complaining about. (Like complaining about a stubbed toe, so break a finger).

Clerics wear dark green robes and tend to not wear armor, except for adventuring clerics. Temple guards are normally made up of fighters not clerics, and the temple usually does not have a standing army, except in locations where there is no other force to protect the temple. Mercenaries are hired often for escorts and guards. The clerics do not openly preach in the streets; however, they will constantly flog themselves with a leaver strap as the move through the streets.

The Loveen temples are normally generic looking buildings with statues of kneeing monks looking joyful as they are being flogged on either side of the main entrance.
