Xerfer has power over the death of nature. To Xerfer, all things return to the earth. All things must die and decay in order for something else to be born and thrive. Trees do not move on their own, therefore for a forest to thrive, the trees will need to die and be reborn. Only in this way may the forest move to a more prosperous location with an abondance of resources. Plants and animals cling to life too much and cause nature to stagnate, they will grow their populations to such an extent that the area around them cannot support their lives. They will then suffer as they attempt to defy the laws of nature and survive. Xerfer, places followers to balance this process. To destroy areas of forest, to kill off animals and humans to prevent the suffering of starvation and the raping of the land of its life-giving properties causing other creatures to starve and die as well. It is Xerfer’s will that nature be balanced through death and destruction.

Xerfer has only druids and rangers as followers. Druids dress as he is depicted, is moss covered brown robes and carry an oaken branch as a staff. They tend to remain unkept and unwashed. Their meeting locations tend to be a recently burned field or a rocky hilltop with little to no vegetation. Druids will tend to meet once or twice a year to discuss their progress and plan out new areas to assault and destroy.

A druid’s holy symbol is his oaken staff, all his spells and magic are amplified through this piece of wood. Each staff is unique in shape, may have carved runes or prayers on the staff, and only the druid who fashioned the staff can utilize the abilities.

Druids and rangers do not gain any special abilities except for two. The ability to determine if an area of nature is unbalanced, and their negative versions of nature and healing based spells are cast as if they were maximized.

The druid’s staff, however, gains is power the longer the druid possesses it. The abilities are listed below;
