There is a place in Hades where light fears to enter. This is the home of Svai. A domain of near pure darkness where the creatures hunt and move via all other senses except sight. Svai origins are unknown, unlike many of the other gods who make their origins known, their history, their accomplishments, and their offspring, Svai does none of this. There are no tales that explain his age, where he came from, what he has done or if and who is related to him.
Svai is the god of darkness, the god who stands against the light. To him and his followers, darkness is the natural state of things. Light must be brought in from elsewhere to cast away the darkness, therefore it is light that is unnatural.
Followers of Svai will hide themselves deep in their hooded robes, with some that will blindfold themselves and the more fanatical will even blind themselves to escape the light. Svai’s temples are without light. The priests memorize the temple layout and carry out their duties in darkness. Their holy books are read via raise symbols on parchment or clay tablets. Their robes are completely black with no accent colors or adornments and their holy symbol is a polished black disc that hangs from dark steel chain.
Priests of Svai are adept in the darkness and can fight as if they have the blind fighting feat. They can cast darkness and continue darkness as a cleric would use healing spells. They are immune the to the draining effects of shadows and undead. Their darkness spells act as a turn undead if the undead move into the darkened area. Bright light will remove their blind fighting ability and hinder them with a -1 to reflex save, will saves and armor class.
