Trengrue is the un-armored God. He refuses to wear armor in battle as to not have people believe there was an unfair advantage in battle. Trengrue enjoys fighting, especially large-scale battles. He has no sense of loss nor care of life on the field. He believes by taking the field you have chosen your fate. He does honor every solider who fought or at least made the attempt to fight. He despises anyone who fled from a fight after taking the field. He is enraged by those that would attack non-combatants and may even give them the strength to fight back.

Trengrue’s clergy tend to wear a breastplate or better armor. The holy symbol brilliantly painted on the breastplates. The armor tends to be stained a light red and any cloth or leather stained a dark red or black. The clergy train endlessly for battle. The study battle tactics and have large scale training sessions (War Games) on either a table top or in the field. The clergy can use any weapon without penalty and any weapon they pick up they use as if proficient. Trengrue does not grant his followers any additional powers, preferring them to fight their own glorious battles, however, if the cleric is over matched in a fight he/she did not instigate, then Trengrue may bestow strength on the cleric to even the odds.

Trengrue does not approve of undead, to him the body should only fall once in battle. He therefore grants his clergy the ability to turn/rebuke undead and their weapons are granted a +2 hit and +4 divine damage to undead for everyone (non-undead) inside the turn radius for 4d4 rounds after a turn undead ability is used.
