Background: Vivian was born and raised in Sully's Cape. Her family has been in the fishing business for generations, but Vivian hated the smell of fish, disliked cleaning fish, and generally disliked being on the water. When she completed her primary school she travelled to Maguld to attend the Bardic College. She graduaded about middle of her class. She began writing for the Maguld Gazette in 562 and has taken on some of the more promenent issues in and out of the city.
Nuva 4th, 566: Vivian Hettie was killed in a mugging while walking home in the noble district.

Background: Little is known about her. She is a halfling (Tallfellow) who took over the press duties and agency after Vivian Hettie was slain on the streets of Maguld. She is tight lip about where she is from and nealy always alters the subject. Her high charisma (24) and natural charm make her highly equipped to pull information out of most people, although some suspect some type of magic is also involved. She is cuurently fully supported by the crown and most of the nobility.

Background: A life long resident of Yalca and known for his fair and honest reporting of events. Lucius has never worked for an organized paper, instead he prints and sells his own out of his news stand. Several papers pick up his and copy his articals onto theirs, making his name seen as far south as Ura and as far north as Uniche Empire.

Background: Nigel is a halfling and has no formal education. His family has been scribes for generations. They have worked for noble families, temples, and merchant guilds. Nigel is known for to be an exceptional accountant and record keeper. He speaks seven languages and travels frequently around the kingdom. He only works as a freelance writer, accountant, and record keeper with no permanent job. He has been known to be called in to examine the books of those believed to be holding out on the merchant’s guilds. He lives a lavish lifestyle.

Background: As a young child of about four Philbert was placed in the training program for the Order of the Burning Dawn. At age 9 he was released from service and the training halls were closed and repurposed. He has had trust issues after growing up hearing tales about the evil the order had done. He is still a devote follower of Hieronious and seeks to ensure the truth is always spoken. He has his own publication in the city of Ura where he works to contradict the half-truths and out right lies others spread. He is both respected and hated for his work and he finds himself at times forced the physically defend himself, though not alone. Many of the order members he served with that remain in Ura always come to his aid. The loyalty and selflessness of the other former order members leads him to disbelieve the stories about the evil.

Background: Arabella is a relative new comer to the city. She arrived in the summer of 551 from parts unknown. She has an odd accent and customary habits. She established a local paper which she publishes weekly or when there is some sort of breaking news. Many of her reports are along the lines of conspiracy theories and questioning the motivations of others. Few of her questions or theories have ever held any water. Her paper is generally read for its entertainment value.

Background: Born, raised and educated in Ashbourne she has learned the streets and the ins and outs of the city. Many of her articals hit soft spots on the local corrupted officals and syndicate leaders. However, she is rarely physically threatened by anyone. She is constantly on the recieving end of verble threats which she simply smiles away or laughs at as if they were simple jests. Her reported rarely exceeds the limits of Ashbournes controlled area and covers politics, gossip and day to day life in the city.

Background: Eleazaer Bagley is well known in the Unichue empire for his tough investigative articles exposing plots by other races to undermine the power of the Unichue empire. Additionally he has exposed the heresy of the magical arts in his book The Arcane Fantasy – the Devils Children and exposed the evil of elves in the book The Offspring of the Lower Planes.

Location: Elverston Keep
Background: Mordecai arrived in the republic with a group of adventurers to assist in the Crusader Wars. Out of his group only himself and one other survived the wars when they faced a giant construct panther. The construct was defeated but at the cost of all his friends. After the war he traveled the southlands for a time and finally settled in Elverston Keep where he wrote his first book. The Trials of The Crusader Wars, a basic tale about his adventures with his friends. After publiching the book, he was approached by the local paper and offered a poistion on the writing staff. He accepted and worked his way up to the top. He took over the paper six years ago as the chief editor. He still writes articals that he feels are impactful.

Background: Portia is the daughter of a human adventurer and an eleven merchant. She has only met her father twice in her life. She was born in the coastal village of Point Just, her mother dropped her off in Tal-From to attend the adventurer's Academy when she was 9. This was the last time she saw her mother. Rumors is she was lost at sea on her return trip to Point Just. Portia completed the academy but chose the life of a scribe instead of following her mother's footsteps. She worked at the Tal-From research library for several years until she was offered a position on the local paper, where she has worked now for some 10 years. She has been known to leave out details in her stories, especially where adventurers are concerned. She married last year(562) to a merchant and now has a child, she has just recently began writing again. It is rumored she is also writing a book on her mother’s exploits.

Background: Lucrezia Etherington is a lead reporter in the City of Amphia in the Cendachi Empire. She comes from a prominent family who can trace their roots back to the Annadora Empire and good King Rufus Kadwell’s court. She is known for you fair reporting and ensuring both sides of a story is properly told. Because of her insistence on fair reporting, her papers are only available once per week, with some issues not being printed for several weeks. She refuses to report on gossip or hearsay and attempts to produce only facts. She does however tends to be harsh on the Kingdom of Ral-Col.

Background: Mina Kelsey has been the principal reporter for the Kingdom of Boata. She is based out of Vasas, the capital city of Boata and nearly all reporting goes through her before printing. There are a few other news services in the kingdom however, those are referred to as either propaganda or fictional papers. Mina will always make certain that all news that leaves the kingdom reflects positively on the kingdom and has been know to cut people out of a story that is not from Boata.

Background: Rosemia Highberry is a fourth-generation reporter for the Rosehorn Weekly newspaper in the city of Rosehorn of the Republic of Dumneln within the Twelve Republics. She is a member of the Stountman family who are the original founders of the city and have family members throughout the Republic of Dumnein. She primarily reports of items of interest in the daily lives of the people. Posting recipes and how to columns and giving travel and vacation advice. On occasion, she reports of pollical situations, criminal activity and local corruption when it benefits her family and their business.
