The Kingdom of Ral-Col sits in an area between the lizardman empire of Lazshorma, the Heskin Territories, the Cendachi Empire and the Southern Joniirian Empire. The people are about the most rustic of people of all the kingdoms. Preferring to ware furs and skins over other fabrics even though the climate is hot and muggy. The people are also called war-like, generally because the first thing you see when entering the kingdom from nearly any direction is fortifications and troops. The people are very guarded and do not trust the kingdoms around them and are suspicious of visitors.

With the fall of the Light of Gryoczogias many of the followers fled to the east, but some fled south-west to the plains. From here the Kingdom of Annadora was formed. The kingdom had constant skirmishes with the lizardmen empire to the north for several years, but the king Rufus Kadwell managed to finally secure a peaceful agreement with the Lazshorma empire. The good king reigned for several decades, and the kingdom prospered under his rule. Unfortunately, the good king did not have an heir, so upon his death the kingdom was divided between his two nephews (Archibald and Nicodemus), sons of his sister and his niece (Livilla) daughter of his brother. Both his sister and brother had died long before him.

Shortly after receiving their titles, Livilla began a campaign to reunite the empire under her rule. She set her sights on Archibald, the weaker of the two brothers first. A campaign that lasted less than a year. Upon Archibald’s defeat, she had him beheaded. Nicodemus on the other hand, never trusted her. As soon as he was able be ordered fortifications built along the new border and began building up and training his troops. When she turned on him, she found it was not so easy.

Over several years she threw troops recklessly at the border, then executed generals when they failed. This continued until her untimely death nearly 30 years later. Her son, Thaddeus assumed the throne and quickly brokered a peace.

At the end of the war. Nicodemus renamed the kingdom to Ral-Col. Why he chose this name is unknown. The kingdom has remained guarded and continues to fortify it’s borders with the Cendachi Empire as well as keeping a close and guarded eye on the Heskin Territories and the Lizard kingdom of Lazshorma.
